In light of changes to public health guidelines associated with COVID-19, the court issues the following new guidance for attorneys and unrepresented parties arguing before the Ninth Circuit.

As of January 2024, all counsel and unrepresented parties invited to argue before the court are expected to appear in person.

If an in-person appearance would pose a hardship, the party or counsel may file a motion to appear remotely. Absent exigent circumstances, such a motion should be filed within seven days of the calendaring notice. For more information see Argument Protocols here.
