As of March 1, 2024, we are no long providing a “cases of interest” page on this site. Instead, here is a link to instructions to sign up to receive notices in any Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals case you may be interested in.
CM/ECF and ACMS in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will be unavailable from Saturday April 27, 2024 at 6:00 AM Pacific Time until Sunday April 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time for system maintenance. You will not be able to file any documents electronically or view or access the Ninth Circuit's dockets during this time. If you have an after-hours emergency during this time, call the after-hours emergency line at (415) 355-8020 or send an email to emergency@ca9.uscourts.gov and the duty attorney will assist you.
Proposed Revisions to Circuit Rules 35 and 40 (Petitions for Rehearing and Petitions for Rehearing En Banc) and various Circuit Rules relating to deadlines and electronic filing have been posted here and circulated for public comment. Any comments are due by May 3, 2024.

Beginning in January 2024, attorneys invited to appear for oral arguments are expected to appear in person. Any party or attorney for whom in person appearance would pose a hardship may file a motion to appear remotely. Click [here] for more information.

Contacting the Court. For questions about opening a new case in the court of appeals or general questions about the court, please email Questions@ca9.uscourts.gov. When filing an emergency motion, email Emergency@ca9.uscourts.gov. For questions about a pending motion, email Motions@ca9.uscourts.gov.
